The Dentists

Dr. Ehde has been called a "calming dentist" by her patients. She believes in building a foundation of trust and wants every patient to have a positive experience.

She received her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees from the prestigious University of Southern California and has been a member of the American Dental Education Association and the Los Angeles Dental Society (among others) since 2005. She regularly attends dental lectures, meetings, and classes to keep abreast of the latest studies and new techniques in dental medicine.

Dr. Ehde's love of learning is reflected in her focus on preventative care and patient education. Her integrated approach goes beyond creating great smiles. She treats each individual based on her view that oral health can be indicative of overall health; and she encourages regular exams, oral cancer screenings, and gum and tissue assessments to ensure a future of good health.

Dr. Ehde is returning "home" after residing in Los Angeles for ten years while attending dental school. She and her husband are thrilled they will be raising their youngest child (of four) right here in her native city of Camarillo. In her spare time, Dr. Ehde volunteers her services at free clinics in the Los Angeles area. She also enjoys hiking, scuba diving, and camping trips with her husband and children.

Dr. Mike is pleased to celebrate the 37th anniversary of Camarillo Smiles. Having started the practice in Camarillo in 1989, the practice continues to grow through the kindness and trust of our loyal patients.

Dr. Czubiak grew up in the San Fernando Valley. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychobiology from UCLA. He then continued his education at the UCLA School of Dentistry graduating in 1988. As a life-long student and self-proclaimed dental geek, he has amassed 1000's of hours of advanced training in all areas of dentistry.

Besides creating beautiful smiles, Dr. Czubiak lectures all around the country to other dentists teaching them how to be better at what they do. This allows him to combine two of his loves — helping others and traveling. He just completed his first book Hygiene Superstar. Written specifically for dental hygienists, it empowers them to raise the bar from just saving teeth to saving lives.

Dr. Mike gives back in many ways but is particularly proud of serving on the Board of Directors of the Camarillo Boys & Girls Club. He is particularly fond of supporting the good work of Camarillo's local charities.

Dr. Czubiak enjoys his three kids with his wife Mindy. Together they love to play tennis, hike, camp, scuba dive, snowboard, travel and do just about anything that involves the arts. He continues to play in a band, write books, make short films, take photographs and be creative.

Dr. Ameen brings a unique perspective to Camarillo Smiles, deeply rooted in his personal journey and dedication to dental care and holistic health. Having graduated from Columbia University, he pursued advanced training and achieved the prestigious title of FAGD (Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry), embodying his commitment to excellence in dentistry.

Dr. Ameen's professional journey has been profoundly influenced by his own health challenges. Suffering for years from gastroparesis, a rare stomach disorder with no cure in Western medicine, he turned to holistic approaches. Under the guidance of a yogi in India, he discovered the transformative power of traditional yoga, particularly its emphasis on diaphragmatic breathing. This experience not only cured his condition but also deepened his understanding of the interconnectedness of airway health and overall well-being.

Additionally, Dr. Ameen found solace and healing through running, culminating in his recent accomplishment of completing the Berlin Marathon. His personal triumphs have inspired his compassionate approach to patient care, especially those managing chronic health conditions.

Beyond his practice, Dr. Ameen is passionate about global health and humanitarian efforts. He combines his love for travel with his dental expertise to provide care and support to orphaned and underprivileged children in various countries, including Cambodia, Guatemala, Cape Verde, Kenya, and Zambia.

With a commitment to holistic healing, patient-centered care, and global outreach, Dr. Ameen continues to make a significant impact at Camarillo Smiles and in communities worldwide.

Dr. Daniel (as we call him) graduated from the University of California, Irvine and then went back east to Howard University College of Dentistry. He attended a program of Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the University of Texas, Houston.

Dr. "Daniel" is a Native Southern Californian. In his spare time, he dreams about food, reads about food, and eats all types of food. His favorite time of day is eating and he suffers a never-ending desire to try new food.
